Dr Robert ‘Rocky’ Crocker MD

Liberating the Story (Co-facilitator)

rocky headshotAll of us are wounded in life, and our wounds often shape who we are.  However, at times our wounds can threaten to overwhelm and impact much of our experience.  Healing can come in many forms, and some of the most powerful in the Native American tradition include ceremony and story.

Rocky Crocker, MD, a physician is of Native American (Choctaw) descent.  Rocky will talk about ‘woundedness’ through the lens of Native American culture and ceremony and its centrality to the sacred and to healing.

Rocky has rich experience and knowledge in traditional and conventional healing modalities and philosophies.  Rocky participates in weekly Inipi’s in Arizona and other ceremonies with the Yaqui tribe.  He practices integrative health incorporating conventional medicine, acupuncture, narrative, ceremony and energy medicine.  Rocky is currently working and teaching at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, maintains a small integrative medical practice, and additionally provides consulting services to individuals and groups seeking meaningful change.
